Solar Grazing Cattle

Nature meets technology
Located just outside Plattling in our photovoltaic parks, Black Angus, Bison, Galloway, Deer and Zebus live year-round in free-range husbandry. On average there are around 5 to 30 animals. The animals can move freely across the green spaces, take in water and feed, and graze at their own pace. All the more care is taken to maintain the biological cycle. As a result, in addition to grass the cattle are also fed brewer’s spent grain from our own brewery – a valuable local protein feed.
Natural maintenance
By grazing, the cattle provide outstanding care for the photovoltaic park - entirely without machinery.

Dual use
Solar energy and species-appropriate animal husbandry on a single area - sustainable and efficient.
